Ever since a baby till now, I have a very bad habit when it comes to drinking milk. I could never finish drinking my milk at one go. As I was very young then, I could still get away with it without being scolded upon.Another baby girl's journal through the eyes of my Mummy. And just like my sister's Rye Li's blog, what you read here is not to intentionally discriminate or hurt anyone, if you're offended in anyway, please go look for my mummy!

Monkey See, Monkey Do
This is one time mummy gave cher-cher stuff to draw and colour and I insisted that I want to join in too. So instead of disturbing cher-cher, mummy gave me my own set too.
One day, cher-cher just went to lie on the floor to watch tv and i immediately joined her
We drink milk together too!

We play together!
I always try to keep up with her but she has longer legs!
I've learnt to love strawberries because of her! She can eat and sleep strawberries all day long!
When she does her school homework, I will also want to do mine (mostly scribbling on a paper)
We will wait patiently together for our parents to get ready to take us to the pool

We love posing together!

Another yikes!
She is bewildered as to how I know how to do this since no one does this at home, not even from cher-cher ever. But papa came to my defend that we never had a bed next to the window till last December when we all (yes, including my mummy & papa) moved into our room.
Anyway, yup, as you know how crazily fierce my mummy can be, I got an earful of scolding from her and also threats of the naughty corner if I’m ever caught climbing up the window grill again. But it’s really fun! Sigh!

Mummy's entry - on disciplining the girl
One of the evenings last week when I had to pick the girls up from the daycare, Haye Li refused to sit in her car seat. I didn’t have the time to coax her as there was a parent outside of the gate waiting for me to reverse my car out of the compound. So I had to force the girl to be strapped on her car seat, it took me several minutes with her screaming and crying.
She screamed and cried 90% of the way home. I was so fuming mad already with the rush I had to encounter with her that when she was not screaming, I was telling her that I will be punishing her when we get home and that she is to sit at the naughty corner. Whether she understood me at that time was the last thing on my mind and really, I expected her to also throw a tantrum on this.
So when we reached home, she was already calmed and I told her that I am still angry with her for not wanting to sit in her car seat and also she managed to remove the top part of the seat belt and that I’m going to put her at the naughty corner for 5 minutes when we got back. She actually smiled at me with her sweetest smile when I wanted to carry her out of the car but I didn’t smile back and told her that she is still going to be punished. Then she looked up at my face when I was carrying her as if to test if I was serious or not. She realized I was serious and kept quiet throughout the walk to home.
Once we entered the house, I washed her hands and feet and put her at the naughty corner. I asked her to sit down but she refused and I told her to stand there for at least 5 minutes and if she moves, I will take the cane (she is really terrified of the cane). I went on to do my things around the house and I actually left her there for nearly 15 minutes. I really expected her to cry but she didn’t. She just stood there with a wide gap between her and the wall and after a while, she realized that it’s tiring standing like that, she leaned on the wall. And then later, she sat down.
When it was nearly 15 minutes, I went to her and explained to her why she was being punished and asked if she was going to be naughty again. She replied “No” and when I asked her will she be a good girl now and she nodded her head “yes”. I asked her to apologise to me and she put her 2 hands up on her head and went “soyee mummy” and then I asked for a hug and kiss in which she willingly gave me and then she was off to play with her toys.

Yikes!
this was what i was trying to do, i started on the paper and then the floor and then on me
Mummy wasn't so happy with this and she now regrets for laughing and my friend when he did something similar as well. I know his mummy will think I'm an angel but my mummy thinks i'm a monster for doing these things. As it is, I've been told off for writing on the sofa and the pen marks are still there. Next time you come to my house, I'll show you! ;)

No!
One night when I was having my nen-nen, my cher-cher started asking for her milk and before mummy could answer her, I immediately let go of mummy's nen-nen and went "No!" and then continued to suckle. My cher-cher, didn't seem to understand me and asked mummy again and I let go of mummy's nen-nen again and went "No!". This time mummy scolded me for being rude but then didn't stop me from the third time after that when I answered "No!" to my cher-cher when she again asked for her milk.
So now I'm mummy's assistant as every questions my sister asks her, I will help answer for mummy and go "No!"
I will also tell others "No" when I don't want to cooperate with them. Other than my cher-cher, the next person to get the most of my "No's" is my Kakak. This is because I will get away with it with her but not with my mummy though.
Mummy found me playing with one of the clothes peg at home and she asked me to give it to her. I immediately replied "No!" and she started threatening me to give it to her. I just looked at her, said "No!" and put the clothes peg behind my back with one hand. She gave me her killer look and took the clothes peg from my hand. I didn't dare to cry then and just looked away, hoping she disappears but she didn't. Something I tend to do nowadays when I'm being reprimanded and when I know I'm in the wrong. At least she didn't yell on after that.
