A conversation I had with mummy today….
Mummy: Say mummy
Haye Li: Papa
Mummy: Say mummy
Haye Li: Papa
Mummy: Say cheh-cheh
Haye Li: Tear-tear
Mummy: Say kakak
Haye Li: ta-tak
Mummy: Say mummy
Haye Li: Papa
Mummy: SAY MUMMY!
Haye Li: Mamau!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m such a papa’s girl. I love calling him all day and get his response. If he doesn’t response to me, I’ll go to him and say “papau!” (asking to be carried).
I also love calling my cheh-cheh or kakak around the house and get their response too.
Mummy is wondering why I don’t call her “mahmeh” which I used to and she’s settling for “mamau” now which I also use to call the cat….suppose to be ‘meow-meow’ but I can only say “mamau”.
Other words I can say lately:-
Please/Fish = peesh
Nose = nioshe
There = deh
Me = meh
Yes = yesh
No = nio
Dog = wo-who
Ball = bor
Bird = bur
Beat = bik
Smack = mack

I was the last person Alycia called last time. She just couldn't pronounce 'mummy' and could only do so after 2yo. Sher and Baby C have no prob calling me 'mummy' at 1yo. Very soon, Haye Li will be yakking away and you'll wish she would just shut up, haha!
I'm still waiting for my boy to call me 'Mummy' or 'Mama'. He's babbling 'mum-mum-ma-ma', though not specifically directed at me yet. :)
like the way 'smack'is casually added in the end....must threaten it huh??lol x
heheh so cute ... i love baby talks. :)
Hahahahahaha I love the first conversation!!! In Hokkien, I'll say "kek si" if you understand it ;-)
